Bill Hicks and Mitch Hedberg

These guys went WAY to early. There are some really great comedians out there but these two are by far my favorites. Bill  Hicks died of cancer in the early 90's. If you've seen Dennis Leary's old standup (which he made his trademark) you would realise that he's nothing but a Hicks ripoff. The chain smoking, the overwhelming pessimism, the overall dark imagery, dirty as Sam Kinison. Long story short, he lifted his image from Bill Hicks. Oh well. Mitch Hedberg died in 2005 of an overdose. He had a completely original look, delivery, and presence. Detatched but still warm. Makes me laugh til it hurts.
